Tape Transfer for Home Editors

Are you thinking of editing your own videos at home? Do you have a new computer but no easy way to transfer your videos from your old tapes to the computer? Would you like to do your own editing and make your own DVDs, but leave the conversion to digital to someone else?

Now you can have PYM convert your old analog tapes to digital, and provide you a format you can edit yourself! All the benefits of your own editing and DVD creation, teamed with high quality, professional conversion of your tapes to digital. We'll do the legwork, signal correction, cleanup, etc. and leave the fun stuff to you!

This service is available in two media formats:
Tape Transfer to Disk: Your analog tapes converted to digital, with files returned to you on DVD media. These DVD's are used for their high capacity, and have files on them you can load into your editor (please specify). Note that although the files are returned on DVD media and can be read by your computer, these will *not* play on your home DVD player. You will receive 3 DVD disks for every hour of tape - spindle packed (not in cases).

Tape Transfer to Hard Drive: Your analog tapes converted to digital, with files returned to you on an external hard drive which you can connect via Firewire to your computer. This is best if you have a lot of tapes, or were already thinking of buying additional hard drive space for editing (files for editing require 13GB of disk storage per hour of tape). We'll select the hard drive size based on how many tapes you have... you pay PYM for the hard drive, at cost, and for the conversion service, and the hard drive is yours to keep (sorry, no loaners available).
